It's the artifice of her private life that passes for creativity, which is
packaged and marketed as art, therefore ensuring any perception of same are
ripe for manipulation.
While I don't care for the woman ("celebrity/icon/sexual
fantasy/pop-tart" - take your pick), I will grant she has an incredible
ability to turn dross into gold. Thanks in no large part to her numerous
"handlers"... but hey... "there's no business like show business..."

Agreed. Some handler had to tell her that "Poops! I Did It Again" didn't sound quite
right and the rest is history. Unfortunately the Beach Boys didn't have a handler to
tell them "Little Deuce Coupe" sounded like "Little Doo Scoop" at the time.
Now I can't take Ethel Merman out of my head... Thanks!!!
