Over at http://members.aol.com/Waucoba4/musi...imberline.html
I've uploaded my new Cyber-CD ("Cyber-CD" defined: a web-based compact
disk where visitors may download at their convenience, for free, a
number of music files that would, in a hard-copy, commercial venue, be
considered a traditional CD), called "Beyond The Timberline--A
Cyber-CD;" it contains 23 of my solo, acoustic, instrumental 6 and
12-string guitar compositions (includes three collaborations with an
individual I shall refer to as HCP)--all in 128kbps MP3 format and all
available for free download, of course. The selections certainly
represent a cross-section of the kinds of instrumental guitar styles I
have become "known" for--a portion of Pop-Rock, a little Ragtime, a bit
of Blues, some Bluegrass, a smidgen of Country-Pop, a fist-full of
Fingerstyle, a whiff of Folk, and a serving of Americana (which is of
course an amalgam of Folk-Country-Pop-Rock).
On a related note, I've decided to move my page of solo, acoustic,
instrumental 6-string guitar renditions, "The Acoustic Guitar Solitaire
Of Inyo--A Cyber-CD," to a new address. I's now over at
http://members.aol.com/Waucoba6/music/inyocybercd.html , where I hope
it can maintain cyber-stability. AOL, my server (folks who hold AOL in
utter contempt--and you are out there, and you know who you are, might
wish to pass over the following remarks...), has recently increased its
web storage capacity to 100mb per screen name (you're allowed up to
seven individual screen names)--now, you don't have to subscribe to
their infernal "Hometown AOL" to receive a mere pittance of 20mb
storage--and that, contaminated by a hideous, obtrusive AOL
advertisement banner up at the top of each page. To do away with that
banner, banishing myself from the home-brewed "Hometown AOL" dungeon, I
had to delete my old screen name and storage space, wherein the page
had previously resided, and create a new screen name, which is not
tainted by that hideous "Hometown AOL" banner-advertisement. Anyhow, I
apologize for the inconvenience this sudden move might have caused.
With a little cyber-luck, perhaps I've finally attained a kind of
cyber-nirvana, wherein my page just might be able to reside in
"relative" stability.
