creating mp3 samples
Posted by Marcus Schidelman on September 28th, 2004

Sorry, newbie question.

I got a CD ( that I produced myself!) and I am selling this in a webshop.
I would like to create small mp3 sample files of a few songs.
How can I do that in the best and easiest way?
Each song is about 3 minutes long, but I only want mp3 samples of under 1
minute.

Thanks for your advice,

Marcus

Rip/encode tracks with CDex, use a lower bitrate so that dialup listeners
are not excluded from sampling; and trim them to size with MP3Trim (the free
version should handle songs up to 7 minutes long). Also use fade in and
fade out in MP3Trim to leave no doubt these are samples.
