Drummer need for "shoegazer" or "space-rock" band in the San Francisco
Bay Area. We are on Clairecords (www.clairecords.com) and our latest CD
just made the CMJ Top 200 for five weeks this summer.

Must have solid beat, steady meter (no speeding up and slowing down
unless it's intentional), able to play both slow and fast, loud and
soft, etc. Must be 100% dedicated, and able to tour with no dramas. We
just completed a 25 date US tour and plan to do another 4 - 6 week tour
next summer...as well as week long regional tours in the winter and
spring.

We would prefer someone bewteen the ages of 27 and 37, though others
will be considered unless they're under 21.

Okay....your influences should be the same or very similar to ours.
We're into bands like Swervedriver, Ride, Loop, My Bloody Valentine,
(early) Lilys, (early) Boo Radleys, Lush, BRMC, Jesus & Mary Chain,
etc...as well as stuff like Guided By Voices, Oasis, Husker Du, The
Cure, Teenage Fanclub, The Smiths, The Pixies, Miracle Legion, etc etc.

We are very serious about what we're doing, so if you're not 100%
serious/dedicated, don't bother replying. We're looking for someone who
knows that hard work pays off.

Also - NO amateurs, weekend warriors, hard-druggies, alcoholics,
etc...THC OK.

Must have your own transportation and be able to practice at least twice
a week. Pro equipment is a big plus, but we do have a decent kit with
good cymbals (Zildjian & Paiste) if you do not currently have your own.
