- DVD MP3 players?
- Posted by Darrell on September 22nd, 2003
Now that DVD recorder prices are coming down it would seem the next step in
music would be have a DVD CD player that could play mp3 music. I did a
search on Yahoo and didn't turn up anything. Anyone have any info on this
subject? Imagine having 4.7 GB of mp3 music on one DVD!!! Should be
around 1500 songs.

Supposedly the APEX units available at WalMart for under $40 will play
DVD-Rs with MP3s on them, but as the media I have is DVD+RW the drive
does not work. A friend of mine verified recently that these units
work with DVD+R as well. Try www.dvdrhelp.com for more info; make sure
you read the entire section related to the DVD drive, burner, and
media combination you're considering.

As I understand it, all DVD recorders will burn data files, i.e. mp3's...
and BTW I have always liked the looks of the B58 and never really understood
why it had such a short life span, if that's what your sig. is referring
to. Joe

Yeah, Joe, I flew the B-58 at Little Rock AFB. It was only active about 10
years. It was quite an airplane for its time. Mach 2 in a climb. Not bad.
But the Russian missiles got too good for high altitude Mach 2 so we
employed it low level on the deck at 600 kts. But the expense of
maintaining a mach 2 bomber to be used only for subsonic low level was to
great. So the "switchblade Edsel", the FB-111 replaced it. Click on the
URL and take a look at my Hustler home page.
