Hard drive MP3 files ot IPOD

If I record a broadcast onto my hard drive - either as MP3 or .wav - how to
do I get it into Itunes - do I have to burn it onto a CD and load it the
usual way??? Thanks Richard

And it will convert to AAC the same way as if I had transferred to Itunes
