I'm after a portable MP3 player (like an iPOD) but one that I can also
connect (or dock) in the car. Are there any decent players out there that
would fit the bill?

Well, the iPod is truly a fantastic mp3 player. And , you can use an
adaptor that will transmit its signal via fm signal to your car radio!!

I got myself a JVC unit with MP3 facility after some turd helped themselves
to my old crappy ford radio cassette player. Cost .....claimed on the car
insurance and then £40 extra for upgrade and no excess.

There are also those that will read mp3s stored on mmc cards, plus most
manufacturers now have at least one hard drive unit that can interface with
various models in their respective ranges.
