Well it is actually not the RIAA that affects the users per se. It only
was made possible due to the silly DMCA law in the US that allows them to
subpoena personal data without a legal due process.
Citizens in the US should raise hell in with their senators and have
these laws challenged and changed .
That’s why companies have their headquarters in Canada or Switzerland.
The government representatives (I know this is an oxymoron) in these
countries obviously did not fall for the lobby of the entertainment
industry.
