CDex and AudioGrabber are two good free ones. Exact Audio Copy is
another good free one, takes a little more to learn how to use it correctly.

Thanks, dadiOH...
In the "Omnipresent dandies Pool", I only win a dollar when you post within
a certain timeframe.
Alas, you took your time on this one - 107 minutes - but since I can't tell
you what times I'm holding, lest I be accused of cheating... let's just
say... I am doing pretty good so far, I can tell you that much.

Guys,
I thought I was pretty good at understanding english, but your postings does
not make any sense to me.

Well, I have installed Audiograbber, but it seems the software cannot make
MP3 files by itself. I obviously need some MP3 encoder also.
Back to the first question: What do I use?

Sorry, Stefan. dadiOH's first reply had your answer in it, albeit in the
form of having to go to his link and download his "dandies" file which
then would have provided you links to (I believe) two of the programs
secret has since given you direct links to as well as possibly answering
any further questions you may have about use of them.
The rest was just some good natured tweaking of the dad's nose by Loco
and I and was not really aimed at you nor intended to belittle you or
your question/post. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
Try using CDex. It is probably the simplest "out of the box" solution
for making good to excellent mp3 files. IMHO, the first time you launch
the program you should go to the Options>Settings>Encoder dialogue in
CDex and make the drop-down box for "Quality" read "--alt-preset
standard" and leave the rest set at the defaults right off the bat. You
will be well on your way to making mp3s that are as good as it gets.

Unzip the lame_enc.dll to the same directory as Audiograbber and you will
have an internal MP3 encoder.

I know what you're saying, Stef. I couldn't make head nor tail of it
either - and English is my first language. Honestly, some of these guys are
so sarcastic, sometimes. I reckon they need their arses slapped.

See, there is a great answer! No worries, I guessed some nose tweaking was
involved...
I have already tried Audiograbber with Lame MP3 encoder (hey, I'm getting
good at this!) and it ssems to work fine. I will try CDex as well.
Thanks, CQ!

Thanks, Hammerer
But I guess there must be some room for "nose tweaking" in a forum like
this. Otherwise it would have been a really boring news group.
Anyway, I have got some good answes to my request, and I'm pretty happy.

These forums should be reserved for SERIOUS USE ONLY. Troublemakers like all
those other guys just use it for their own ends, which makes it harder for
the rest of us. It should be made illegal.

Quiet or you shall have to be publicly plonked. Perhaps even have your
large shoes and red nose taken away and made to surrender your seat in
the little clown car for one on the larger and much more populated Bozo
Bus.
If you would lighten up once in a while and remove your nose from the
grindstone there would be room in your life for a little levity. You
might even have some nose left for tweaking of its own.
<Sigh> You driven types just drive me nuts.
