- Use of Kazaa

it looks like the actions of the music industry are successful.
just read in an automation magazine that use of kazaa has gone
down over 45%.

As a kazaa user, I know that to be untrue - yet another fear-inducing tactic
by the record industry!
Kazaa has had an average of 3.5 million users for the past year.
Until the record companies realise that an MP3 is a far inferior product to
a CD they will not gain sympathy from buyers and, hopefully, will go
belly-up!

well mercury(cacudeus) is the protector of merchants AND thieves.
So if they hurt one they also hurt the other. It`s all in the mix.

Why succesfull? That means 45% has turned to one of the many other
P2P-apps(WinMX, SoulSeek, EDonkey...).

It's also untrue. Still 3.5 million user average, just keeps chugging along
Some non-Kazaa networks have even been experiencing growth.
