- utility to increment track MP3 track numbers automatically? help much appreciated :-)
- Posted by ed.jones@inbox.com on March 7th, 2006
when ripping double CDs to mp3 i often want to merge them together so
my MP3 player sees them as one album.
this involves incrementing all the track numbers of the second disk up
by the number of of tracks on the first (i.e. if CD1 has 13 tracks then
i wanna increment all the track numbers of CD2 by 13).
Does anyone know of a utility that runs on winXP and would do this
automatically, cos its too much of an arduous waste of time to attempt
manually.
any help would be much appreciated,

Mp3Tag (free) has an auto number function which can change the track
numbers in the tags. The altered tags can then be used to rename the
files.
