Many times what, with the erro you are describing is related to a
malware/adware/virus problems. Have you scanned your machine with the most
recent virus definitions installed. Another option is to go to
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ for a free online scan. This is the comapny
that makes pccilian.

my virus protection says it has up to date info and has scanned a few
times since getting that error. Will use the housecall feature you
suggested. if it does come up with problems is there a fix function or
do i need another piece of software??
Thanks

HI i've tried to load the housecall but it doenst wnat to work, it
either stops when there is java security is denied or if i try to use
the other kernel that also fails to run. It gets so far through the
process, as in it says it will now be installed or updated and it just
sits there not doing anything. Any ideas how to get it to work??? I
have installed java and that works so i dont know why it wont work,
have also changed security settings in IE too.
Also since this has occured i'm also getting casino sites etc popping
up, i ha dit set so that it didnt happen but now i have no idea how i
did it. I have a firewall and popup blocker but they still pop up,
coudl it be related???
Any ideas? please its driving me crazy.

ok i have now been able to run housecall and i dont have any virus,
spyware etc on the computer.
Any other ideas as to why i keep getting the error message?? I also
find that hwen i restart the computer i have problems with the internet
environment being changed, then i have problems with the firewall and
have to disable it to get the internet then enable it again which i
sometimes need to do several times before the internet works again.
if i dont have a virus, or spyware etc then why do i still get the
errors??
Any ideas???????
Thanks
zoe
