folder shortcut in explorer
Posted by middlesteve on March 12th, 2006

I'm using WinXP SP2. This concerns a shortcut to a folder, the shortcut is
on my desktop. When I right-click and choose "Explore" I get Windows
Explorer opened up to that folder, as expected, but in the Folder View in the
"Explorer Bar" on the left, the Folder appears as though it has no
subfolders, even though it has many. Hitting F5 does not help. Folders ONLY
appear in the list on the left panel, IF I enter that folder in the right
panel, then they stick around until I close that explorer window. This never
happened in Win98, and it doesn't happen on my laptop with Win XP SP1.

Anyone know why this happens in SP2? How to fix?

Thanks,
-Steven
