How can I reset windows XP Pro
Posted by GamePlayer No. 1058 on October 11th, 2005

I bought my sony with home but wanted Pro so this weekend I bought pro, but
I've moved icons all over the place and lost some of them. like in control
panel there is no longer a add-remove programs icon. Is there a way to
reset this without having to reformat and fresh install.

I just want it to be like windows XP would be out of the box with the
placement of icons.

Thanks,

Do a clean install of XP Pro; save whatever files you need, then google for
"xp clean install" or such.

what about System Restore. Worth giving it a shot.

Did these icons disappear before or after the upgrade to XP Pro?
