- How to go to website
- Posted by Stan on October 6th, 2005
I don't normally use I.E. but needed to use it to access a web site. I
can't find any place where I could type in the address of the website
(www.anything.com).
How do I get this is into a tool bar and which one? Thanks.

Right click at the top of the screen where the icons are. Check address bar.

I tried this and all I could get out of it was the word "Address" at the
extreme right end of the cutomizable bar with no space to enter an
address.
Seems to me that when I have used IE on other people's machines that the
address bar was always there somewhere.

Right click on the Toolbar and click on "Lock the Toolbars" to
remove the check mark.
Look for a dotted line to the left of "Address".
Click on it and while holding down the mouse button, drag it to
the left.
Go back and click on "Lock the Toolbars" to put the check mark
back.

Hi,
Right click the menu area and see if "lock the toolbars" is checked. If so,
uncheck it. Then left click and drag the address bar out to where you can
see it.
