- How to un-install/re-install IE7?
- Posted by Tassie on January 25th, 2008
Hi!
I want to un-install and then re-install IE7 because it seems to
be causing problems ( freezing and other things)
I know how to un-install it, but to me it seems that if I do that,
I won't then have a browser to re-install again as I don't have
it on disk.
The help sections on the computer and on micrsoft don't explain
that explicitly.
Hope some one can help please.

When you go to uninstall it, there should be a 'repair' option

When you uninstall your machine will automatically revert to IE6 on re-boot.

Uninstall it from the Add/Remove programs and reboot your machine will
revert back to IE6, then run disk clean up and System File checker then try
the re -installation and finger crossed it will go okay!.
If you worried because the system came with or shipped with IE7 try the Fox
