INSTALLING NEW SOFTWARE???
Posted by MICHAEL on February 5th, 2008

I HAVE PROBLEMS LOADING QUICKEN 2008, EVERYTHING SEEMS TO GO FIND UNTIL I
CLICK TO THE SHORTCUT ICON, SHOWING THE LOGA AND AND ERROR MESSAGE SAYING
THAT I NEED TO REINSTALL QUICKEN.

IS THEIR SOMETHING THAT WINDOWS XP IS DOING TO BLOCK MY NEW PROGRAM
INSTALLATION. THANKS

Wow. All upper case lettering. That's hard to read. Probably why most
publications don't use it that much. heh

I would think, actually, that if you are having trouble with just this one
application - your best bet would be to first look at that one application
instead of defaulting to "What has Windows XP done now?!" You can look on
Intuit's FAQs, contact them, etc. Being that it is Quicken 2008 (and it is
only February 2008) - and you are just installing it - it must be fairly new
for you and thus - likely supported by the company you purchased it from.

There is even a 'community' (forum) for Quicken specifically:
http://www.quickencommunity.com/

Even a specific group discussing installation, etc..
http://www.quickencommunity.com/webx...ing%20started/

My suggestion is to post a question on their forums to see what you might
get from the experts on that product first.
