Hi,
Set the size of the Temporary Internet Files folder to 50-60 MB and you
should rarely *have* to delete those files. New files will replace old files
and the cache will do it's job. But, clearing the cache (deleting those
files) is a common first step in trying to resolve many Internet Explorer
problems. You can, if you wish, clear the cache every time IE is closed from
Internet Options> Advanced> Security.

Also, in the course of resolving a problem with IE, you may have remove one
or more objects from the Downloaded Program Files folder. Usually, those
objects can just be ignored. If you remove an object from the DPF folder
that's needed by a particular website or application, that object should be
offered for download on your next visit to the site.

When thier not wanted or not in use anymore.Others need to be installed
such as malicous software remover,update class,etc.You should R.click them,
one @ a time,properties,see what its about.Also,if
wanted,R.click,select,update.

Someone has addressed the "view files" option. "View Objects" shows you
which DirectX objects you have downloaded and installed. Things you're
likely to see include Windows Update, Office Update, MSN Gaming Zone and so
on. This list is the same thing as what is shown in \Windows\Downloaded
Programs\

I check this folder every so often and remove items that no longer want or
need. Also, if a site is giving you trouble, you could delete its
corresponding DirectX control and revisit the site where you'll be prompted
to install the control again.

While I delete selectively, you could delete all of these things whenever
you wanted to. A revisit to sites that require them will prompt you to
download and install them again.
