- Keyboard issues

I was cleaning the keyboard on my laptop, when suddenyl things went wacky.
Some of my keys work, but some of them when pressed give incorrect characters
or do not work at all. Example: I works, but when I press the 0 key, an *
appears. I have checked all my settings, did a reboot, system restore and
everything and it isnt helping. Is it possible that I pushed some odd
combination of characters that caused my keyboard to go to a different
program or something? Any help at all appreciated- I can try and provide
more info if needed (ie what keys work, which dont and which emit different
characters.

You have done System Restore,so any changes should be changed to the previous
(normal) one
It could be harware problems
I suggest you to take your laptop to a professional computer store where IT
specialist would help you

Try the on-screen keyboard and see if it has the same problem.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>Accessibility
If it does, disconnect keyboard>reboot>get error message of "no keyboard
attached">turn off power>connect keyboard>reboot

Thanks for the help folks
Being a laptop, I was a bit concerned
I "think" I have it fixed
The FN key was jammed and took some tinkering with.
Thanks again!
