I am using Windows XP Pro SP2. When I go to the properties of a document I am
able to provide keywords about the document. How do I search through a folder
of documents based on those keywords and not the name or date of the document?

The containing text field searches name, content, and properties. If you want more advanced control over searching read up on Index Server in Help.

You might also might want to check out how to make Windows XP search
inside files that windows does not search in, ie the contain text
option.
