- Lim User no accessibility to shared internet connection
- Posted by TiredButNotDead on December 22nd, 2005
My XP home set up as workgroup. When I change my son's account to
Administrator, he has internet access under my account (dial-up) Simply by
clicking the shortcut, it does it's thing. BUT...when I change his to
limited, he must click shortcut as usual. but then it doesn't connect
automatically as before. It requires him to retype tele #'s and dialing
rules etc. each time still using my ISP account name and password which is
saved.

Sounds like you need to run the Internet connection wizard on your son's a/c
to set it up properly and replace the shortcut with one that links to the
dial-up connection not your a/c.
