Try device mgr, expand the tree for the mouse,R.click on it,select properties,
usually more options are available....

The Device Manager can be found by clicking "Hardware" in the System
applet in Control Panel. However, Andrew E.'s advice is usually wrong
and this is no different. Make changes in your mouse settings from the
Mouse applet in Control Panel. Make sure you Apply your settings.

Not really. Since I can't see your machine or what you're doing, I can't
guess what is causing your problem. AFAIK, if you want to use the mouse
as left-handed, all you need to do is put a checkmark in the box for
reversing the mouse buttons from the Mouse applet. I was just at my
left-handed client's house this morning so I can attest for sure this
works. Either you're doing something different, have some third-party
mouse/theme program running that has twisted up the usual behavior, or
I-don't-know-what.

Have someone knowledgeable - either a knowledgeable friend (who is
*really* knowledgeable and not someone who just *says* they are) or a
professional look at what you're doing.
