- Maxtor One touch

I've got a Maxtor One touch that i've been using. I just ran a
duplicate of my hard drive, however, maxtor will only copy 1/5th of the
total file one my computer to the external maxtor drive.!!!!
what's up with this.
Please help anyone!!!

Is your file system Fat32 or NTFS because if it's Fat32 you can only do a maximum 4GB backup.

What program did you use to "duplicate" your drive. What I believe you are
trying to do is image [often referred to as ghosting] your entire Hard Drive
for possible restoration use. I do not believe the Restrospect program that
used to [and may still] ship with Maxtor One Touch external drives provides
that capability. Acronis True Image and Norton's Ghost will.
