- microsoft word in office 2000

i am running xp with service pack 2. my question is this.when creating a
text document, i can right click on the toolbar to bring up the clipboard,
which floats in the middle of the screen. i can then drag it to the toolbar.
i want it to stay there pemanantly so it is on the toolbar each time i open
a ms word blank document. i have placed a tick in the clipboard box in the
customize toolbar option

That's interesting. When I right-click my toolbar there's no option to open
the clipboard. And I have XP with SP2. Do you have some third-party app
installed?

I think you'd be better off in a Word group - Word is part of the Office
suite (or Works suite) and not part of Windows.

Open Word or whatever, hit F1, click the Index tab, type: toolbar and
click the Search button.
Or type: Move a toolbar in the box on the Answer Wizard tab.
[[Move a toolbar
Drag the move handle on a docked toolbar (docked toolbar: A toolbar that is
attached to one edge of the program window. When you drag a toolbar below
the program title bar or to the left, right, or bottom edge of the program
window, the toolbar snaps into place on the edge of the program window.), or
the title bar on a floating toolbar (floating toolbar: A toolbar that is not
attached to the edge of the program window. You can change the shape of some
floating toolbars.), to the new location.
Note If you drag the toolbar to the edge of the program window, it becomes
a docked toolbar. When you move one docked toolbar, this might affect the
location and size of other toolbars on the same row.]]
