printing labels for postage through ebay/paypal
Posted by longcurls on January 26th, 2006

I have beeen printing labels through ebay/paypal for quite some time on 8 and
1/2 X 11 paper. Half of the paper would be the label and the other half
would be the tracking #. Suddenly, they started printing smaller (all of the
aove mentioned started only to take up a little more than half the page. I
think this started after I installed my new HP photo printer but I'm not
quite sure. I have been racking my brains out tryng to figure out why this
is happening. I've turned my system off and rebooted many times thinking
that would help, but no. Also, as I write this message, I may have typos
because the font is soooo small I can't read it I also tried to go into
display in control panel and change fonts but nothing seems to work. Does
anyone out there have any suggestions? This is keeping me awake at night!!!!

Dumbfounded

An excellent post, although you should have kept it in the original
thread. When you say you went into the Display applet and made changes
to the individual fonts, do you mean that the Windows fonts don't
change? Which model HP photo printer do you have? I haven't seen this
behavior on any clients' machines where I've installed HP photo
printers - and I've installed a fair amount of them lately - but it is
possible that the HP software installed special fonts that have taken
over. This is just a guess on my part.

You may want to post in the following MS newsgroup where you'll find
printing experts:

What size paper does the photo printer use by default ?
about half letter size perchance?
