USB Drive Detection Error
Posted by Muss on September 26th, 2005

I got a detection problem with my current USB port after my computer been
infected with trojan recently.
When i plug in my thumbdrive and tried to access it, it says that the drive
is unavailable.
Arising from the infection, I got my machine installed with microsoft anti
spyware, spyware doctor, spybot search and destroy and hooked up with trend
micro pc-cillin.

Too many files have been infected PRIOR to your current protection. If
you have completely disinfected your PC, you may need to reinstall certain
system files for it to function properly. You can do the following, scan for
missing or corrupted files or do a repair install of XP. Try the scan first:
Start>Run>type sfc /scannow (space between the c and /) and press Enter.
You must have your XP CD ready in case it asks you to insert it. SFC is the
System File Checker, it checks system files ONLY.
