Windows & Fax Viewer Newsgroup??
Posted by BK on April 27th, 2006

I have a question about the windows and fax viewer, but cannot seem to find
a newsgroup specifically for that. Can anyone redirect me?

If I happen to be in the right newsgroup right now, can anyone tell me why
some of my picture folders do not have the "filmstrip" view option?

Open folder | View | Customize This Folder | Select Pictures or Photo Album

You can view your pictures as a filmstrip in any My Pictures subfolder or
any folder customized as a pictures folder.

Filmstrip view is available in picture folders. Your pictures appear in a
single row of thumbnail images. You can scroll through your pictures using
the left and right arrow buttons. If you click a picture, it is displayed as
a larger image above the other pictures. To edit, print, or save the image
to another folder, double-click the picture.
-----

This issue can occur because the Filmstrip feature requires that Show common
tasks in folders be selected to view the full functionality.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, select Show common tasks in folder:
1. Double-click the My Computer icon.
2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3. On the General tab, click Show common tasks in folder under Tasks.
4. Click OK.

I had copied a group of pictures from my digital camera to a folder on my
laptop. When we got home, I copied the folder from my laptop to my desktop.
Somehow, when I copied the folder it must not have had the correct
designation to allow for the filmstrip viewing option. All is well now.

Thanks!!!!!!!
