- wireless in Vista woes
- Posted by Graley on December 21st, 2007
With Vista home basic, I am unable to set up a wireless conection to
internet via a router. I have tried very many config setttings,
matching addresses in router and PC, wireless accesss good, connection
set up apparently OK, signal strength good, adapters all on, but cannot
connect to internet. It will connect OK via ethernet cable. I know this
is vague but I wondered if anyone has had this experience too, and has
found a magic setting somewhere that makes it all happen ?

You should try posting to a Vista networking group rather than an XP basics
group.

This isn't the best group for a Vista networking question. Try this one:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...orking_sharing

Also check your firewall's not blocking it, with Zone Alarm and Comodo I had
to manually enter an IP range and subnet mask into the trusted zones.
