- All region NTSC PAL DVD MP3 110 volts 220 volts dvd player

Does an all-region ntsc/pal dvd/mp3 110v/220v DVD player exist?
By googling, I found the venerable Philips DVP642 which is all but one
of the above! Drat! So close yet so far away. (I would worry about the
Philips DVP642 hardware frying if I added a 50hz to 60hz 220v to 110
volt transformer (due to the hertz mismatch) so I'm still looking for
the all-in-one DVD player.)
Do experts know of an all-region ntsc/pal dvd/mp3 110v/220v DVD player?

Many DVD players these days along with other electrical devices operate
within the range 100v to 250v. Check on individual players. I picked up en
el cheapo DVD player from Target that cost au$69 that plays everything
including DivX, has memory slots and a USB1.1 slot and is region free and
the operating voltage marked as 100v to 250v 50~60 Hz. There worse thing
about the unit is the bright blue on light that looks like a Police signal -
not a good look at midnight!
It is also PAL/NTSC. Depends a lot where you live - in Australia we get a
lot of Asian gear, some good some not so. This unit is badged Telefunken out
of China

I went to Target today and they said they have no such thing as a dvd
player which plays mp3 and dvd pal and ntsc at 110 or 240 volts.
Can you tell us the make and model of the player you bought that does?

Yep it is the Telefunken DVD Multi-Media Player model TDV223 purchased at
the Bondi Junction store 6 weeks ago. They were available in all stores an
originally cost au$145. The operating voltage is rated from 90v~ to 240v~ 50
or 60 Hz.
Basically the kids who serve you in most stores these days are nearly
illiterate so you really have to go and look for yourself - the old saying
if you pay peanuts you get monkeys...
