CompUSA DVD-R on Pioneer DVR-A06

wondering does the A06 burns CompUSA DVD-R? Also, can I burn CD-R with the
A06? Is this recommended? CompUSA has 50 CD-Rs for $2.99 after rebate.

IIRC, compusa DVD-R comes from 3 different suppliers, so the they range from
crap to good. The ones I bought (10 pack $9.99) burned 1x on A-05 and
2x on Panasonic 521.
