dvd copyright problem (can't copy the family guy)
Posted by ss on July 5th, 2003

I bought The Family Guy and wanted to make a copy for my RV. Tried to copy
Family Guy first using dvdxcopy and it only sees less then 700 megs for disk
1 and disk 2 (splits the first offical dvd into 2 on the dvdxcopy menu, but
each dvd would be less then 1 gig each, can't add or remove chapters
either). Since the dvd is over 7 gigs I know it isn't right.

I tried using dvd decrypted and it completes reading and copying the dvd to
the hard drive in less then 5 minutes. A normal dvd takes 20 minutes. This
dvd has some type of copy protection that every other dvd I copied doesn't.
What other programs can be used to copy the original?

Did you use dvddecrypt in file or ifo mode?

dunno that there was 2 modes. Probably file mode. Does the other mode get
through the encryption?
