I have recently purchased a Compaq desktop pc from pc world. I have one
problem my DVD writer(DVD writer 300n) records DVD's perfectly but will not
record normal cdr's. The drive will not recognise any blank cdr's or cdrw. I
have tried re-installing the software this does not work can you help

Replace the drive..if it's a Compaq it will have the cheapest drive
available.
