Ballet done the only way the Italians can, horror style! This creepy
tale puts American traveler and ballerina Claire Hamilton (Connelly)
abroad as she tries out for a renowned ballet school who's staff just
happens to be over 100 years old and cursed to play a demonic version of
Swan Lake in order to succeed in bringing true evil into the arts! Soon,
Claire is taking on the persona of Natalie Horvath, the original Prima
Donna who died 100 years earlier in an accident after she couldn't go
through with sacrificing herself to Satan! Claire's new boyfriend
catches on and it's a race against time to save her before she becomes
one of the damned. Produced by Claudio Mancini (Contamination, A Fistful
of Dynamite) and Achille Manzotti (The Sabbath, Nothing Underneath),
Etoile owes more than a little to Argento's Suspiria and Opera with a
screenplay by Franco Ferrini (The Card Player, Sleepless, The Stendhal
Syndrome). Included as a special bonus at the end of the film is the

Lavia portrays a man with a lot of secrets and a lot of past chasing
close behind him. He makes his living by ending the lives of others; he
is a professional killer. The ‘organization' that employs him has
expressed through their actions, very clearly I might add, that they
would like to see Lavia dead. He goes on the run and hides out at his
girlfriend's high profile brothel. During his stay there he meets, and
becomes increasingly obsessed with, a part-time whore named Victoria who
has some secrets of her own! This is an erotic and intense giallo with
lots of nudity, some splattery murders and an exceptionally moody score
by Fabio Frizzi! Dardano Sacchetti was among the four writers who helped
to create Evil Senses! Forget those fullscreen prints because now you
can enjoy this fine thriller the way it was intended… widescreen! In
