- HDD DVR that allows HDMI and or Component Input
- Posted by Terry Smith on January 22nd, 2007
Anyone aware of a non TIVO or DirectTV type DVR w/ HDD that has a HDMI
Component Input?
I'm saying non-TIVO on the assumption that service based DVR are difficult
to program w/o the service
Thanks for any help

That's not all. Actually, it was released in 2004. Yet, I can't fin
anyone who has reviewed it. Its actually available for $600 (with 9
shipping ?) from an outfit (with good reviews) in AZ. But, without an
track record, I don't feel enthused about dumping that much on a 2-
year-old piece of hardware which nobody seems to have heard of.
My Adelphia/Comcast Motorola HD DVR is not much of an improvement i
terms of space however. It can only hold 16 hours of HD programmin
and is constantly behind in responding to the remote. TIVO has reall
made a mess of our expectations by providing a GOOD CONSUMER PRODUC
which is hamstrung by all kinds of redtape

Interesting unit, especially with the built in DTV tuner. But I agree with
the others that responded to this that it's a bit expensive for its storage
size.

You successfully created a link that worked for me.
Or do you mean a short link?
IIRC, just go to http://tinyurl.com and follow the instructions - it's
easy (says a man who never does it. Oh well!).
I just looked - yes, it's easy, and they tell you how to create a
button on your toolbar to make it even easier.

HDD. It's a Polaroid DMR-2001G
