- Just burned a DVD & can't read on computer.

Total newbee here. I just got a recordable VHS / DVD by Emerson from
Wal-Mart. I design web pages and occassionally a client will hand me a vhs
and want me to include a clip on their website. I'll typically outsource it
to someone else but several weeks ago I was at the store and made an impulse
buy decision. Anyway I just recorded a clip and it played back okay in the
Emerson player, but when I put the disk into my computer, it doesn't appear
to be able to read it. It says the drive is not accessible / incorrect
function. I have a relatively new plextor reader/writer. So any input
would be appreciated. (Yeah, I know I'm a stupid cheapskate for buying crap
from Wal-Mart, just to get that out of the way up front.)

Is there an option to "finalize" on the DVD recorder? Until the
session is closed out and a proper table-of-contents written, the
recorder is pretty much the *only* thing that's going to read it.
Check the recorder's manual or menus for this option. It'll mean you
can't record anymore on the disc, but it should then mean it'll play on
a regular player or computer.

Yup, I just found the manual. Am in the process of finalizing and I'm sure
that was what was needed. Sorry for posting such a stupid question but
thanks for the quick response!
