Nero 6 and 7
Posted by Airman Thunderbird on October 9th, 2007

I use NeroVision from Nero 6 at home for "quick and dirty" DVD authoring
from mpg, avi, etc. Works well.
At work, my computer has NeroVision from Nero 7 installed. Works
basically the same, but the resulting DVD files have no sound. Tried
googling the problem, but mostly get flame wars on how bad Nero is, or
needlessly complicated collections of software to perform the same
function.
Have seen several posts about how Nero dropped the ball with Nero 7 and
NeroVision doesn't work anymore. Anybody have a solution?

I haven't tried authoring with it, but I think dvdshrink has authoring
and it is a free prog so you can always try it and see

Unless I'm mistaken, (which I often am) DVD Shrink only works with
already converted DVD files or DVDs. I'm looking for an app that
converts various video formats, mpg, avi, to the DVD format, ifo, vob,
etc. ready for burning.

I use NeroVision in Nero version 7 all the time,
as a matter of fact just did a half dozen discs
worth of .mov files to dvds, and it works just
fine, i.e. no sound issues.
