I have been watching the DVD writer market for the last several months and
have noticed prices slowly edging downwards. As always with technology.

Now with 4x DVD writers becoming the "norm" or so it seems and many dual
(+/-) writers also available it looks like they will drop some more.

With all of the above to choose from; now 8x DVD writers are already
available several months ahead of predicted timelines.

Based on all of that what do you think we'll see for DVD writer prices in
the last 2 months of this year?


My guess is that we may see several sub-$100 (with or without MIR) deals on
4x DVD writers during the major selling season. Dual (+/-) format writers
might be $150 or less.
