Has anyone been able to program a universal remote to work with the
Philips DVDR985 recorder? If so which one? I have not been successful
programming the Philips PMDVR8 to work with it.

My recorder is in the "virgin mode" and you have to go through the setup
with the remote, which I do not have.

Also if anyone has a remote for this recorder that they would like to
sell, please let me know. It is model RC2056.
