- Pioneer A06 Firmware Version 1.06

I went ahead and downloaded Version 1.06 and updated the Pioneer A06. What
does it offer that 1.05 lacks, or did I do the wrong thing.
Also, is there an anomaly with the A06, Nero 5, and DVD/RW media. I've read
of some problems with that combination where erasing causes a problem.

Where are folks getting this new firmware? The Pioneer Electronics support
page for us USA users doesn't even have an option to select an A06 or 106
drive, much less any firmware for it. A firmware update page I found on a
..jp pioneer page says there is no new firmware for the A06.

Can't say if it's meant to be UK specific, but it doesn't say so. Does
seem odd if it isn't available elsewhere.

R6FW106.EXE seems to be the same firmware, regardless of where you download
it. It seems to have greater stability across more media types. I am trying
TDK, Verbatim, Princo, Memorex in various formats. So far, what a sweetie,
this A06 of mine!!!!

The "Update Information" button still doesn't actually tell you what it
updates though! They do, however, contain exactly the same firmware and
flash programme files.
