This does not show the 4X support for DVD+RW. Is it wrong, because Sony
supports 4X +RW.

Pioneer only does DVD+R at 2.4X
They did it this way because they wanted to get it right and there is
no DVD+R 4X availabel although I believe Verbatim has a DVD+R 4X but
very expensive. In reality no one buys DVD+R media because DVD-R media
is so much cheaper.

Nout wrong with my DVD-R discs. Datawrite Yellow 1x work perfectly.
White Label 1x discs that I burned 1 year ago still work.
DVD-R/RW and DVD-RAM are more popular here in Europe. A good quality
DVD-R disc can be had for a pound and DVD-RAM for £3.00.

I think the media governs which format is popular. The availability and
price are the main factors. Any glimpse into the future regards that? I
check Allmedia and Meritline and still DVD -R cheaper and lots of choice. If
I see a change then it will be a harbinger of the future.
