Has anyone burned in the zone CLV 8x mode DVD+R on this drive with success?
What program and media were used if so?

I have and all was fine. I did have trouble with DVD X copy Platinum but
they just made the fix.
With regard to media any brand name seems to burn at 8x just fine.
