- Poor DVD player compatibility - DVD recorder or DVD issue?
- Posted by B Wooster on October 7th, 2004
I have a IOMagic DVD Recorder (ID: IDE1008) - dual format -+R.
I have used Memorex DVD-R and DVD+Rs, as well as TDK DVD-R's.
Every video I've burnt fails to play in any new (or old) Panasonic, Sony,
and Toshiba DVD players.
They do play on an old Compaq Laptop, and a year old Daewoo DVD player.
Any thoughts on whether the problem lies with my DVD recorder,
or the DVD's?
Most threads I've seen on this topic seem to suggest it is the DVD-R
or DVD+R media manufacturer that matters, but I've tried atleast three:
Memorex, TDK, and one non-branded one.
So now am wondering if there is an issue with the IoMagic recorder.

Have you spoken w/IO Magic? Sounds like a procedural problem.
