Problems ripping DVD's to hard drive.
Posted by Papachulo on February 22nd, 2008

Mind if I pick your brains a minute? Sometimes I can rip dvd's and
sometimes I can't and I don't know the reason. I live in the United
States and rent dvd movies. Alot of them I can rip using dvdshrink,
but sometimes when it analyzes, it will stop half way through and
that's it. Sometimes I can use dvdfab and get the job done but it
also will give me an error message at times. What causes this?
When I do get an iso file ripped I use Roxio dvd creator to burn the
movie to a disc.
What causes some of the dvds to not rip and some to rip just fine?
Is there a program that will rip every dvd?
Btw, I'm not too knowledgeable in technical terms

Thank you, I appreciate the help

The studios and manufacturers are always doing
something new to the discs, best thing is to get
something like AnyDVD which runs in the background
and takes care of all the nasties so basic ripping
software like DvdShrink or whatever you have can
do it's thing.

Write me direct if I can help any further.
