I purchased one of these DVR's soon after it appeared on Wal-Mart shelves.
I corresponded with someone who posted to this newsgroup and also has one,
but I can't remember his name. If he, or anyone else, knows how to copy
from the hard drive to a DVDR in this machine, would you please tell me? I
managed to do it just once, but I can't remember how I did it--and I can't
seem to do it again! Would you walk me through the process--please? How
do I prepare a DVD-R or DVD+R for recording? How do I choose the quality
setting for the DVD? How do I know when the unit is actually copying, and
can I record a different show while the copy process is going on?
I'll be frank with you. I'm not all that sharp technically, and the manual
for the 2001G was apparently written by someone not too familiar with the
english language. This is one of the least useful manuals I've ever read!
