- Roxio software: which filesystem for burning DVD-Movie ?
- Posted by NumberOne29@Yahoo.com on December 14th, 2003
Hi all,
I want to use the Roxio CD/DVD Creator 6 that came with
my Plextor PX-708A drive to burn disks that will play
on my DVD-Movie player.
I've read many references here to using Nero for such a
task, but there's little written about Roxio software.
Basically, I want to know which is the best filesystem
to use to burn VIDEO_TS directory to disk.
The options in Roxio software are:
1- ISO9660
2- Joliet
3- UDF (with "Udf bridge support" option)
Which of those should be used for maximum compatibility across
DVD-Movie players?
Also, does the disk volume label have any importance?
Any other important software settings I should be aware of?
Thanks.

Roxio 6 came with my Memorex DVD Drive
and it works great.
Use Disc Creator Classic and drag the
VIDEO_TS directory in to the project.
Put a Volume Label on it for your
reference (only shows up when the disk
in in a PC)
The default should be UDF w/Bridge
support.
