Sony RDR-GX7
Posted by NeilH on January 5th, 2004

Hi Guy's,

Last week I purchased & started to have a play with a Sony RDR-GX7,
however I've run into some issues with the one touch dubbing.

Below is a message from a Belgian chap I stumbled across, (no replies
to his post) which is exactly the same as what I get when using a
Panasonic camcorder, (I think the actual message is 'cannot find the
in-out points') unfortunatley I don't have an alternate camcorder to
test with.

Is this soemthing anyone else has come across/any ideas....?

Cheers,

Neil

When I try to record on a DVD-R (formated VR) pictures from a mini DV
with the i.LINK (Or IEEE1394, or DV, or firewire cable) with the
function 'ONE TOUCH DUB' on the SONY Recorder RDR-GX7 an error message
appears when I use a PANASONIC CAMERA mini DV(NV DX100) = "Impossible
to find the in and out entry point". This message doesn't appears when
I use a CAMERA SONY such as TRV900. What can I do with my DVD RECORDER
SONY so that it accepts the 'signal' of PANASONIC Mini DV CAMERAS ? My
english is not very good, excuse me because I am Belgian... Than you
for a 'TIP' !"

Hi

They should speak to Sony and see if the camera is on the compatible list!
Not all cameras are supported for remote control from the deck, which
appears to be what the user is attempting. They should also check the Sony
to see if it has any DV Camcorder options in its settings that they can try
and toggle.
