I have a retail LG 4120B Super Multi DVD drive. I originally
installed this drive under Windows XP and had no problem writing to
DVD-RAM discs. My Windows XP installation is now messed up and no
longer boots so I have to use my old 98 SE installation until I get
XP fixed.

I can read my DVD-RAM discs but I can not write to them. Every time
I try, I get a message saying that the disc is write protected. I
think the discs I am trying to write to are formatted fat 32.

I have installed all the software I can find on the installation
disc. I have looked at the LG web site and I did not find anything
helpful.

What do I need to do to write to these discs? I want to back up
some of my data. Thank you in advance for all replies.
