- Adaptec AHA-2940AU Problem with Suspend Mode?
- Posted by Ronald Rey on July 20th, 2003
After moving up to Windows XP Pro via a clean install, it seems my older
AHA-2940AU Ultra-SCSI card (vintage 1997) hangs the system when it tries to
awaken from Standby Mode. I believe I once read long ago that older SCSI
cards can cause this kind of problem. When I temporarily remove the card,
the system awakens from Suspend mode just fine.
Is there a newer 50 pin PCI SCSI card out there better suited for my
needs?.... I only use it for two non-booting devices. Thanks, RR
