i have an asus A7V133-C motherboard with PC133 sd-ram.
what is the fastest processor i can use thunderbird 1400mhz?

Technically up to the xp2600+ with the 266mhz bus, but only if the bios
suports it, the asue site claimes up to 1.5ghz

Yep, that's right. I have the same board and looked into this a while ago.
From memory you need to flash the BIOS (you may not need to, mine is an
older revision) then the dip switch settings for the older processors will
instead set it for the newer processors, with the 1400Mhz being the max. I'm
sure the Asus website will have more details about this.
