- E-Machines

As someone at work inherited a dreaded E-machine it worked fine for about 4 days...The machine then went into XP's hibernation mode and has never recovered. The machine has been unplugged, cmos been cleared, and still nothing accept the orange LED in the power switch when the unit ips powered on (it normally should be green). I can't even hear the HDD spin up. Has anyone seen anything like this before with E-Machines?

"Usually" the power supply is the first thing to go, you might test
voltages on the ATX connector with a voltage meter or swap in a
different power supply.
On the other hand if the system has been opened and disturbed
internally or moved around, check all cables/cards/memory/etc to be
sure they're in place.
